WEIGHT TRAINING

Cindy Anderson Fitness offers one-on-one personal training, in a unique environment, that allows women to empower themselves to be healthy and strong, both physically and mentally. Our method -- the No Momentum Exercise Protocol.

Why is strength training so important, especially for women?

Between the ages of 20 and 50, the average individual loses approximately 15 pounds of muscle and gains over 30 pounds of fat as a result of the decrease in metabolism associated with muscle loss.

Unfortunately, many women ignore the one activity -- strength training -- that can truly shape their bodies in a highly attractive way, and greatly improve their health now and in the future.

In addition to improved strength and endurance, regaining or building muscle tissue through weight training increases metabolism, and improves body shape, bone density, cardiovascular efficiency, and joint stabilty.

The No Momentum Exercise Protocol is a method of high-intensity training. It was part of a study that focused on osteoporosis in frail, older ladies with decreased bone density. Today, we know that eliminating momentum in exercise allows you to increase your workout intensity without risking injury. Increased strength means more muscle and higher metabolism, which results in lower body fat. Exercise is the stimulus, and the physical improvements are produced by the body as a response to the stimulus.

The benefits of strength training:
  • Improved cardiovascular fitness and overall health

  • Greater muscle strength

  • Increased metabolism

  • Greater endurance, stamina and energy

  • Optimum fat loss while maintaining muscle

  • Stronger bones

  • Reduced injuries
